The world's most liveable cities

A report released today by the Economist Intelligence Unit ranks Melbourne as the world”s most liveable city—for the fifth year running. Australia and Canada both do well, with three cities each in the top ten. But growing global instability means nearly a fifth of the 140 cities surveyed earned a lower score this year. Ten of these cities are in western Europe—notably Paris, which has suffered multiple terrorist attacks.
